Communications Intern

London/Hybrid
Full time
Duration: 6 months

In a nutshell

We’re looking for an organised and eager-to-learn comms intern to join an agency that delivers standout, award-winning campaigns for a diverse mix of clients. This role spans both the PR team and social media team, meaning you’ll get broad comms experience across multiple clients. Your time will be split between both teams, so you’ll support a wide range of people and learn skills across the full comms landscape – from creative planning and evaluating comms campaigns, to influencer marketing, to media relations and paid social.

Job description

Key areas of learning

  • Project management. You’ll take ownership of account organisation and admin to ensure campaigns run smoothly. On the front foot when it comes to monitoring media coverage and reporting results to the wider team and clients, you’ll play a crucial role in showcasing our best-in class campaigns to clients – and beyond.
  • Writing and research. You’ll help develop written materials including press releases, social media posts and client updates, and take charge of research that helps inform client campaigns and new business efforts.
  • Influencer research and management. You’ll research social media influencers and talent who can add weight to, and extend the reach of, our campaigns. You’ll liaise with agents and talent from the briefing process, through to gathering analytics.
  • Social media content planning. You’ll help plan organic and paid social content on a monthly basis across a variety of channels (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, etc), writing copy in the client’s tone of voice and coming up with creative ideas for content.
  • Media relations. You’ll build relationships with journalists and broadcast producers, and you’ll seek out and engage media to sell in stories and secure impactful coverage.
