Kindred launch the alternative gardening guide for Scotts Miracle-Gro

Know your Chrysanthemums from your Chocolate Cosmos? If not, then have no fear as it’s likely you’re one of many Brits who report that they find gardening an exclusive world for the very knowledgeable and they don’t have the lingo to discuss plant care.

Enter the Extremely Busy and Important Person’s Guide to Gardening – a simplified gardening manual with a heavy dose of humour created by Kindred for The Scotts Miracle-Gro Company, to make people feel more confident about tackling their lawns, weeds and plants.

Designed to celebrate the best selling Ladybird books for grown ups and spark nostalgia with people whose parents used to have copies of the botanist Dr D G Hessayon’s books on their book shelves, the parody guide recommends that you can put your feet up, enjoy a cool glass of wine and allow the Scotts range of easy-to-use products to do (most of) the hard work for you.

Ellie Taylor brings the Guide to life in a tongue-in-cheek infomercial-style film featuring her annoying know-it-all next door neighbour Ian (this just might be a cameo by Kindred’s very own thespian, Chris F).
