This month marked Kindred’s first ever B Corp Birthday. And as the original positive change makers, we thought it was only right to celebrate this by giving something back to our local community.

The entire agency took an afternoon off and went to Calthorpe Community Gardens to get their hands dirty and do some good. This involved weeding, raking, path sweeping, cutting up trees and other wooden waste, painting and more. The brilliant staff at Calthorpe made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in, and helped even the most novice gardeners get stuck in.

For anyone in the Kings Cross area, we’d highly recommend a trip to Calthorpe Community Gardens. Just a 10-minute walk away from Kings Cross, it’s the perfect spot to take five and reconnect with nature (especially in the newly tidied healing garden). And if you have more than five minutes, you can get stuck in with lots of activities. From gardening to embroidery, sports to weaving – there’s something for everyone.
