New work

Last week saw the launch of Outside View, our third campaign for the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
It’s a powerful campaign focused on the ‘crisis point culture’ around men’s mental health. Seven in 10 men would only consider therapy once they reach breaking point and, despite 65% of men experiencing mental health struggles in the past three years, many continue to rely on self-coping mechanisms such as exercise, hobbies or alcohol, rather than seeking professional support.
The campaign aims to encourage men to seek help sooner, by prompting them to consider the ‘outside view’ therapy can offer. Rooted in the insight that many men feel more comfortable opening up while walking, the campaign brings therapy into the outdoors, recreating a therapist’s office along a popular walking route in Dorset.
Fronted by rapper and mental health advocate, Professor Green, the campaign also features a short film capturing conversations between men with lived experience of therapy. Coverage has landed in 70+ outlets including BBC Radio Five Live, Times Radio and a double-page spread in the Daily Mirror. Find out more about the campaign here.
