We rolled out a 360 campaign to launch the new quid on the block.


The new 12-sided £1 coin entered circulation on 28 March 2017 – The Royal Mint (TRM) and The Treasury (HMT) needed a mass awareness campaign to ensure that the public and businesses were ready for the change.

Kindred built a business-focused website, set up a dedicated press office on site and produced over 50 social assets including films, photos, GIFs and even produced a ‘Found the Pound’ Snapchat filter.

With one week to go before launch, we had secured over 1,400 pieces of coverage, reaching 90% of UK adults – coverage in every national daily publication and flagship pieces in Match of the Day, Blue Peter, The One Show and Gogglebox.
