To celebrate quiet moments of connection between pet parents and their four-legged family members, we commissioned a series of portraits entitled ‘Welcome to LapLand’ for Lily’s Kitchen, capturing these cherished moments of togetherness. Members of the public and well-known faces including Harry Judd, Pete Wicks, Tasha Gouri, Vicky Pattison and Kai Fagan were snapped enjoying time relaxing with their fluffy friends, in the run up to the festive period.

The gallery was coupled with a study digging into the science behind the emotional and physical benefits of pet-owner bonds, produced in partnership with Dr Manos Tsakiris, Professor of Psychology at Royal Holloway University London, and released alongside research revealing three in five pet parents would be more upset going a month without seeing their pet than they would their human loved ones. Media lapped it up, with covering including Ok! Magazine, The Independent and Metro.
